What big.lk does with what you send, while the site is being built.

The forms

• Notify me at launch: your email address is sent to our mailbox. We write to you once, when big.lk opens, and then forget it unless you ask for more.
• Contact us: your name, email address, topic and message are sent to our mailbox, only so we can answer you.

Neither form keeps anything on our web server. Our mailbox is a Gmail account (Google); your message stays there until we delete it. To have your email or messages deleted, tell us.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies, has no advertising or analytics, and runs no scripts.

Pages our bot reads

Our bot, BigLKBot, reads public product and ad pages and takes only the item's facts from them (such as its price, make, model, year and condition), never sellers' names, phone numbers or other personal details. A whole page is kept, on our own computer only, while we are still teaching the bot a new website's layout, or when the bot could not read it; it is deleted after 7 days. Pages we keep as examples for testing have sellers' details removed first. If your details are on a page and you want it deleted sooner, tell us.

What every website keeps

Our web server keeps a short log of requests (time, page, your IP address and browser name) to keep the site safe; it is deleted after about three months. The fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them.
